Those patients who do not want to wear metal braces, can choose othodontics with aesthetic braces made of porcelain or sapphire.
Porcelain braces have an attractive translucent white colour so they blend in well with the teeth.
The sapphire braces are transparent crystal so that the color of the teeth can be seen through the braces and are therefore more aesthetic.
It should be borne in mind that the wires have a metallic color. The wire is covered by a thin layer of white material (Teflon) which does not allow for efficient tooth movement, this can compromise the treatment outcome and lengthen it considerably.
